1. Shibori
Shibori is a Japanese term for several methods of dyeing cloth with a pattern by binding, stitching, folding,
twisting, compressing it, or capping. Some of these methods are known in the West as tie-dye.
Each method results in very different patterns. The first day we will work with cotton and dye the samples with fibre reactive dyes.
The most important thing will be to get to know the different methods to prevent the dye from reaching the entire surface
of the fabric. The second day we use silk - mostly scarves - and dye the fabric with silk dyes (image 3).

2. Love affair with textiles
With the use of manipulative techniques like weaving, coiling, knotting and embroidering we create stunning objects.
Used clothing still sitting in our drawers, once favourite curtains no longer in use, ribbons, yarns, scrap fibers
left over from finished projects: they all are revived in exciting quilts, vases, vessels, placemats and other items
fired by our imagination.

3. A tree is a tree is a tree
If you carry a green tree in your heart, a singing bird may come.
This chinese proverb will guide us through our workshop. We use materials like bondaweb, acrylic paint, tyvek, synthetic felt and
embroidery yarns. After learning how to use these materials, the students start making a tree object in compliance with their own
choices whether it be two- or threedimensional.
The students must be able to run a sewing machine.

Water plays an important part in the mythology and religion of ancient civilizations. In monotheist religions water constitutes a link with God.

Materials used include bondaweb, acrylic paint, embroidery yarns.
The students must be able to run a sewing machine.

5. Making mony with art
We have no money crises. we make money ourselves. Absolutely non-inflationary. To achieve this, we use the tiniest fabric scraps
and give free reign to our imagination. After finishing the production of the notes, we invest them in durable goods constructing
houses, cars and other highly nessesary things. This workshop is very suitable for craft teachers who want to playfully discuss this
highly topical issue with their pupils.
